"Implements Strategies To Address Overwhelm" from Resume Of A Stay At Home Mom chosen for 30th Annual Juried Members Exhibition at Griffin Museum of Photography

Really excited to have my image in the Annual Juried Members Exhibition at The Griffin. This was a goal of mine and it felt so good to finally achieve it. Special thanks to juror Mazie Harris Assistant Curator of Photographs at The J. Paul Getty Museum.

“We hide. We seek. We seek connection, understanding, empathy, knowledge, a jolt to break us out of our routines. Photography is a marvelous means of searching, at its best transforming sight into insight. In the face of life’s difficulties, the fog and obfuscation of day to day challenges, frustrations, wins and losses, the photographs gathered here make the world glancingly penetrable. They offer refractions, reflections, moments of grace or quiet or perception.

Amidst the fast flow of photo feeds and news streams, it is a gift to spend time with images that still and steal time, that hint at larger narratives without heavy-handed explanations or pithy captions.

With gratitude for the photographers who help us to revel in places and faces, in pleasure and in pain. Here’s to those who not only search, but share.”
